My friend is organizing a fantastic event tomorrow (well, all her events are great but this one is really special): you will learn tips about healthy lifestyle, see fitness demonstration and have FREE healthy lunch. June will be a great month for FREE networking opportunities:

EURO 2008 - EUROPEAN SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP 2008 IN SWITZERLAND AND AUSTRIA will kick off on June 7. Swiss-American Business Council, Goethe Institute and Austrian Consulate General in Chicago will be organize events around several games (see the schedule below). And each event will be a great opportunity for meeting people, social interaction but also business networking because a lot of the people who are on the distribution list of, say, Swiss-American Business Council are businessmen, entrepreneurs, etc. They will draw a good international crowd to these events so it is definitely worth checking them out!

Sports and Business Luncheon

This truely unique networking event is being organized by Black Ant Sports Marketing. The event will consist of reception, lunch and panel discussion with the guest star Ben Gordon of Chicago Bulls. Other pannelists are: JR Rickert (President and CEO of National Sports Management), Bill Scherr (wrestler, 1985 World Champion and 1988 Olimpic Medalist)

The topics of the interactive discussion will include:
- Share insights on the past NBA season
- Explore impact of the relationship between sports, business and community
- Assess Chicago’s opportunities in the pursuit of the 2016 Olympic
- Introduce examples of engagement in community development

Since the topics of this Sports and Business Lunch are so varied and exciting this event is not only targeted to people specializing in sports marketing and sports management.
